Acrylic

Here are samples of my paintings and charcoal drawings. Using pastel, charcoal, and acrylic paint. Charcoal is tradition. Controlling light and dark, pulling the figure out of the shadows and building up depth with black and white and all greys inbetween. Pastel being my favorite because of the pure color and texture that can be built up layer upon layer using a workable fixative so the under layers don't get muddy or flat. And acrylic painting which can be very versatile, as thick as oils or as thin as watercolors. I love to work with them all, sometimes combining acrylics, pastels with charcoal into one painting.
